Today is:

National Love People Day

National Chewing Gum Day. I liked chewing gum when I was younger, but not so much anymore.

National Mud Pack Day. I still sort of like walking in mud and having it squish between my toes, but I wouldn’t want it on my face.

National Hot Mulled Cider Day. I thought that was a drink for the colder days of winter. We’re getting some wonderful warm weather here this week.

I know Oliver would have volunteered if he hadn’t been on watch.

Some great excuses there! My trip started out great yesterday – after gassing up my car, I went next door to use the very clean restrooms at the casino, promising the dogs I would be back in a minute. But my favorite machine, which is cats, bats and haunted houses, was calling to me and I walked out 15 minutes later with $455! The fall colors were mostly disappointing, dirty yellows and lots of browns, possibly from our terrible drought. They are just beginning and I may have more luck closer to home next week. My meeting today is just a pre op with the surgeon, surgery is in 2 weeks.

If they spent as much time doing dishes as making excuses, they would have been done long ago.

My, what a lot of excuses. I like the one about the aquarium. Very funny! On another note, saw a dragonfly and a rabbit while out walking today.
