Been there, done that!! Except in my case, I had to take the local public transport back to my apartment and then go back to the store!! Total time wasted, about 2 hours!! Never again!! Now, I check to see that I have my wallet before leaving the apartment!!

    (- _ O)

I lost my bottle redemption receipt once. About $50 of store credit. But it was on the ground next to my car. Good thing it doesn’t get windy here often.

I’ve done that almost a handful of times. My store now has a hold button on the sale so they can continue to the next person. They’ll also put the bag of frozen stuff in the freezer for you. I only live 5 minutes away.

I’ve done that for the ‘required’ reusable shopping bags that we are now forced to use.

I have no problems with shopping as I always pay through contactless from either my phone or my debit card. My card is in my wallet which I always in my pocket so I never forget about it.

Only men like me still had them in their pockets but ladies usually had them in bags.

I’ve done that, but even more embarrassing, I once checked out and paid, but left my full grocery cart at the curbside pickup and drove home.

She wouldn’t want to do that in San Francisco today. Car looting and other crimes is such a huge problem that residents are grouping together to hire private security to protect them.

I get it. I’ve left my wallet in the car.

The one that is supposed to be in my pocket…

That’s why I carry a different credit card in my cell phone case – just in case I forget or lose my wallet. I also have taken pictures of my SUV’s license plate in case it’s stolen as I’d never remember it, along with the VIN number for Onstar to track it. As well as photos of my insurance cards and medication bottles – myself, like most people, rarely every leave home without their cell phones.

I’ve always called it a shopping cart; I guess “trolley” is what they call it across the pond.
