Probability Zero. If you ACTUALLY examined his thought process it would be ALL about being reelected. Which, true, can be enhanced by lying about how important coal is.

The coal companies do have a lot of influence, read that as money.

So many Americans have representatives who pander to their desire to return to a safe, irrecoverable past. They resist the leaders who want to take them into the uncertain, difficult future.

At least Manchin has something between his ears. Unlike ol’ joe and the vacuum between his.

I used to work for an electric utility. Over the years some coal fired plants were converted to natural gas. Others were phased out. Hydro, nuclear and solar have taken over the bulk of generating electricity. There is also a pumped storage plant. During the time of low electric usage (night) water is pumped into a man made lake on top of a mountain. During peak times (day) the water flows through the pumps generating electricity.

And here I was thinking that it was profiting his daughter who got a huge bonus for increasing prices on essential medications that some people need just to survive. The meds were already priced well beyond a 100% mark-up, but with her they went way, way beyond anything justifiable given how long those meds and their delivery mechanisms have existed and how inexpensive they are to produce.

Up here episode-pens are between $100 – $150 and do not need a prescription. I keep one or two in every home and auto first aid kit. Use it once to save a life and the cost is cheap.
