Republicans have no desire to help the country, they plan to refuse to fund the government so it will have to shut down. There isn’t any real reason to do it, they do it out of spite.

It wasn’t a civil war. Properly, it was a treasonous insurrection of the 1%.

    It’s the same war, Stantis.

Only this time, it’s the Republicans* who want to destroy the country.

10-20% of the country aren’t aware that the Republican party has become authoritarian, or don’t want to believe it. When they support the 30% who want to overthrow the government, the situation is dire indeed.

It is truly sad our nation has become so bitterly divided and over what ? Unfortunately Republicans want to relive the past and so often I hear right wing lawmakers like Madison Cawthorne advocating a new Civil War. After the 2024 presidential elections it likely will happen if trump or any of his acolytes are the GOP nominee. They won’t accept the outcome if their candidate loses and next time they could succeed in overthrowing the government

There’s no war that’s ever been ‘civil’ if people died.

I see from a perusal of the comments so far that Left partisans are busily enlisting to support their cause. Since we ALL think WE’RE the good guys, and that WE stand with the good guys, if it comes to a fight we’ll all be fighting on the side of the Good. And since the history of a conflict is written by the winners of that conflict, lo and behold!, The Good Guys Always Win!

Side note: Yes, I get that GoComics uses cookies to keep track of stuff. Could one of these cookies perhaps exert itself a little and keep track of the fact you’ve told me this seventeen times so far?

Lifelessly panting with exertion as they yank their tiny bodies from one standardized clipart pose to the next. And compared to the text, that’s the funny part.

Moscow Mitch just wants to make the Democrats look bad to TFG’s base, even as TFG throws Mitch under the bus.

Trumplicans REALLY seem to be “too far gone” and lost in an alternate reality where Herr F_hrer is still Dear Leader and running our countryry INTO THE GROUND!XD Sad. The silver lining? RIHGOP.

The North and South never belonged together. The Constitution is just a kluge of compromises, most of them meant to keep the slave states happy. We should have cut a deal with the British and let them have the South which they would have regretted because it would have turned into Northern Ireland times 10

It depends on what is the ‘worse’. If it is society, it’s been VASTLY worse in the past then now. If it is Congress, then we’ve seen worse but it’s been a while – we have fewer people now who actually want to do the dirty job of legislation (negotiate and such) and would rather dictate from afar as if they can rule by fiat.
