Baby steps buddy, baby steps!

High and dry, yet still a drip. Spud, nature’s proof that life didn’t spring from the sea.

My problem was I couldn’t swim until I discovered I could. After that, all bets were off.

Don’t forget your water wings, Spud.

Poor Spud, afraid of being shark bait.

I’m surprised Spud hasn’t learned to swim after all those falls off the dock!

Wallace’s friendship is an example to us all.

Wallace always supports Spud and is always positive.

Just put a small dock in front of the pool so he can fall in!

Spud needs to take a vacation from his problems….

New house finally came with a soaking tub. Ahhhh, glorious. I’m with you there Spud – just in reverse order.

Looks like milkweed pods.

Reminds me of the pool of the protected prince in the tale of The Golden Goblet. I think it was in a picture book by Eve Bunting. In the story, the diver went deep into the actual ocean, but didn’t ever see it, whereas the prince who was not allowed to had the imagination to envision the wonders beneath the waves.
