I’m pretty sure we were involved in this Afghanistan mess before Biden became president, but the right-wingers seem to forget that.

And still no condemnation of Stephen Miller and the regime he served, who devoted their wholehearted efforts to assuring that we left behind as many of our Afghan allies as possible.

He didn’t care about them until their potential plight can be exploited for a cheap political hit job … like the rest of the GQP.

Anyone remember how history would prove Pres. George W. Bush’s decisions correct in time? Me neither.

That’s what you get when you had a person in the White House negotiate surrender terms with a pullout date of May 1st.

It is ever so touching when the Trump Disciple ChickenHawks, like Lester, invoke military values when they never have nor ever will serve a day in the military. Their knowledge of the military comes from John Wayne movies.

Those same ChickenHawks were absolutely unconcerned when Putin, Trump’s best friend, put bounties on American soldiers.

And they were perfectly happy to have the Afghan war continue for 20 years with NO end in sight, and American soldiers dying.

And when The Best Negotiator In Human History arranges the release of 5000 – 6000 Taliban prisoners and invites their leaders to Camp David, they celebrated and extolled the treaty that required nothing from the terrorists.

And six weeks ago, none of them could find Afghanistan on a map.

The deadline and the withdrawal are not over yet, but Lester has already left his patience behind…

“C’mon man”. Stating the job will be done when we get our people out is when we will depart. Not giving a date that puts us all in a box, but you idiot dems keep defending him.

Given that Trump negotiated a withdrawal by spring, I wish that he had also made plans for said withdrawal. But he didn’t. Doing so would have been way out of character for him.

We are still evacuating people who helped us in Vietnam.

Afghan aides who applied for Special Immigrant Visas have had to wait years; many of those seeking evacuation were in the waiting lists. There has never been any particular urgency on the part of the federal government, under any administration.

Anyone who is surprised how this evacuation has played out has not been paying attention.
