Growing up, we had a dog who did not like to be without a tennis ball in his mouth. He would even bark with it. Strangers were sometimes concerned. I can’t count the times we, as kids, had to explain to a concerned grown-up that our dog was really ok and would not swallow the tennis ball by trying to bark around it.
