If it works for them, good! Maybe we should adopt there policies. Ours aren’t doing so well. I was told by my Dr. I should get the Moderna booster shot do to my health issues. She or the Hospital had none. She recommended I go to a pharmacy. I was told by them that although recommended by the FDA the government has not released any guide lines or protocol and I should come back in a week or two. So my wife and I are practicing the Australia lock down on our own.
The U.S. used to be a world leader. Those patri-nuts expressing their freedumb in blind adherence to a false messiah and denying science to combat a pandemic are ensuring we’ve fallen off that pedestal.
Remember just who were the original settlers in Oz, the same folks who settle in our great sate of Georgia. Their descendants still carry their attributes.
When it stops working, presumably. They have about as many cases per day as we have deaths per day, with ~8% of our population. There is a recent spike, but it is being met with an even harsher lockdown, and previous spikes were worse.
Unlike some places and people I could mention, the Aussies seem to be intent on getting through this pandemic mostly alive. So the question of “when” is at LEAST as stupid as “are we there yet”… worse because it’s being asked by a putative adult.
