On the walk home from school, there was a deli/candy shop/emporium that had a guy out front performing tons of Yo-Yo tricks. He was pretty amazing to our young minds but he was actually just live advertising tor the shop; they sold Yo-Yos and strings. I was one of the poorer kids in school and never carried around enough money to buy a Yo-Yo there. Oh, I had a Yo-Yo, I just couldn’t buy the deluxe, diamond studded stuff sold in that store. :-)
My dog walks with her nose on the ground like most good hunting dogs. Her favorite walks are on garbage day, of course! Last week I pulled a chicken bone out of her mouth again. She has learned to be sneaky, but I have good reflexes.

It’s like the real thing – who’s walking who (whom)? Who’s the Yo-yo?

Duncan Yo-Yo, we all learned a few tricks. TG, I spent most of my time playing sports and riding a mini bike.

Do kids even play with yo-yos these days? That was a big thing in the early 60s. I sucked at it.

Had more than one knot on my head in early 60s because of Yo-Yo TRICKS that didn’t work out as they should have!

This reminds me of that old Rolling Stones song…Walking the Dog.
