Since many states are suppressing votes to stay in power like 3rd world dictators, why bother to fix the infrastructure. Let it all fall apart so we also look like a 3rd world nation. The ultimate goal of Republicans. Cheap labor for the rich.

It’s more like a slide from debt in to poverty the Democratic play ground, with Biden and his cronies riding the marry go round.

Ramirez and Republicans are perfectly willing to let American infrastructure decay while allowing the wealthy and corporations to amass obscene piles of untaxed wealth.

This is the current state of America! NOTHING was done in the last fake administration….it’s about time…especially the grids….without power, water, heat/air, we’ll become a third world nation….

It’s Ramirez’s nonsensical take on things that putting people to work repairing and replacing failing and failed infrastructure will simply cause incalculable debt. Ramirez isn’t that stupid, but he is stupid enough to think that he can convince readers, for whom he has no respect, to believe that his nonsense is valid. The fact is, repairing and replacing infrastructure will provide a BETTER marketplace for sellers and buyers and, as a bonus, which is obvious to EVERYONE EXCEPT RAMIREZ, those employed to repair and replace our failing and failed infrastructure WILL EARN MONEY DOING IT AND THEY WILL SPEND THEIR MONEY to improve the economy. This is why political/economic commenters like Ramirez are so worthy of our scorn: They know the truth, but they go out of their way to lie, either directly or indirectly, in order to suck up to their commercial masters, to their benighted followers, and merely to sow chaos. Shame on them all.

What’s the value of human life when a bridge or other structure fails? Wait, we saw the answer to that last year with the COVID response…..

You have a fine example playing out right now of lax (read ignore) rules on infrastructure with the collapse of a building in Florida.

After watching a pedestrian bridge collapse and then a Condo Complex come crashing down( yes, not a part of infrastructure, but how many inspectors were paid to look the other way on some of the details) in just this wee, I think we need a lot of repairing

Ramirez, Reagan tripled our National Debt, Bush2 tripled it again, and tRump really buried it. All only helped the wealthy. If Biden were to upgrade just one bridge taxpayers would at least get something out of it.

Republicans like to claim that their programs and tax cuts will be paid for by corresponding boosts to the economy… but cannot fathom such a thing happening with infrastructure… mainly because they’re blinded by their hate of a Democrat in the White House…

Since Republicans refuse to pay fair taxes and want to hoard their money like a dragon in the Hobbit, how do you pay for absolutely necessary things. I think most republicans would let a bridge collapse and a 100 people die rather than donate $1 to get it fixed beforehand,

When the GQP is in charge, they demand tax cuts for the rich, because “trickle down”. When they’re not in charge, they claim that Democrats run up the debt. They lie.

It seems that Republicans hate the thought of leaving their grandchildren with massive national debt, but don’t mind leaving them with dangerous bridges that may collapse any time, pot holes on interstate hiways, a sputtering electrical grid, unreliable internet, etc.
