    “The ceremony will likely be long,” Tarzan ventured…

    How would he know? Has he seen one before? Why does he assume a couple hours of ritual instead of just being pushed in the croc pit with a cry of “Bon Appétit!” (Perhaps the cavemen speak French in addition to English.)
