When I hit the streets the Donna had already turned L.A. into a blood river. It was a short swim down Alvarado to my convertible, I had to get to Santa Barbara in a big hurry.
Reminds me of when my mom and I were in New York. We wanted to go to the Statue of Liberty, but the ticket line was incredibly long. Someone offered us tickets on the side, and mom purchased them. We went to the island on the next boat, but we couldn’t get into the statue. Turns out we needed different tickets for the statue.
I want to say “lesson learned”, but it was really a blessing in disguise. My you-know-what kicked in without any warning, so there was no point climbing up any statue.
