I remember BOTH times the Supremes “elected” a GOP president. Of course, I’m waaaaay outside the norm for voters, seems like anyway. Because if Ii weren’t, then the pols would run on platforms that I actually support, correct?

My continuing (but fading) hope is that someone deeply involved in the year 2000 presidential election in Florida makes a death bed confession that Yes, God forgive me, we Republican election officials plotted to manipulate the ballots toward George W. Bush. Probably, anyone perceived as remotely likely to do that has already died; or has been warned of demise via professional application of a MyPillow. (—

I’ve been thinking exactly this.

Duval county overvote, Palm Beach county butterfly ballot, and the FL Supreme Court ‘selective’ hand recount are what cost Gore the election.

So, historically, Repubs will go to any length to win.

It’s only a “crisis” if the Republican efforts fail…

Gee, I thought and thought and couldn’t remember the part about Bush v Gore resulting in an inflammatory rally with the President and elected officials inciting an angry and dangerous mob to invade the US Capitol. But outside of that, EXACTLY the same as Trump v Biden.

Ted accurately portrayed a 2000 TV. No HDMI and RCA and antenna connections. The rest of the cartoon was pretty pretty much on the spot.
