Dogs are colorblind and see different images in the shades and textures that are hidden by colors. Dad was color blind and couldn’t see the chicken in a picture, but could show the outline and image of a rabbit hidden by the chicken’s colors.
Most dogs seem to prefer pointillism in painting. Italian greyhounds, of course, are more fond of the baroque style. Poodles love impressionism. And lapdogs say “my heart belongs to dada.”
