It’s certainly easier to bathe a cat. Squirt some soap into the toilet, shove in the cat, slam the lid down, and sit on it until the agitation cycle slows down. Flush a few times to rinse, and lift the lid.
Buckles must remember the same Carol Burnett show "Jaws " parody that i remember where the killer shark got it’s victims through the drain hole in the bath tub. (If that parody never existed I must have had an extremely vivid dream about it. I resisted baths for over a decade due to this parody,)

Buckles is one of my favorite comics. Wish his illustrator had not decided to stop drawing Buckles.
