For those who missed it yesterday, Mother’s Day is always on May 10 in Mexico. Some Mexican families in the U.S. celebrate both U.S. Mother’s Day (May 9 this year) and Mexican Mother’s Day (always May 10).
When I was teaching ESL, my Mexican students informed me that Mother’s Day is one of the most important holidays of the year in Mexico, while Father’s day is hardly noticed. Love it or hate it, that’s how it is.
