it’s because the people who were working those jobs and got laid off because of the virus are collecting unemployment and also getting the extra payments that give them more than what they made when they worked and less incentive to work a job. maybe the gov’t should have given the extra incentives like food stamps and free health care to those who were laid off and then called back to those jobs and at no cost to the company.
