That’s why I could never understand why someone would try to find their gifts ahead of time. Christmas is only once a year, and it seemed like forever before it would arrive. Then it would come and be gone before you knew it, and it was another seemingly endless wait.
She ought to be slapped HARD. I’d definitely go rat on her to the parents. This was a rotten thing to do!
When I was 10 I found all my gifts early too, and on Christmas morning I was hoping there was just one thing I’d missed seeing, but alas, everything was no surprise. I learned my lesson and never did that again. The surprise is the best part. For Jeri to ruin that for Teena was just beyond rotten. If one of my kids did this to another, I’d ground them til they grew gray hair!
