Rall-the-Whiner strikes again! More of Rall’s pointless bitching & moaning, more salt poured onto the nation’s wounds, more baseless criticism.
Rall gives the impression that, with Trump rightly ousted, the ship of state should be immediately righted. By Rall’s lights, politics & economics are no more difficult to change than flicking a switch. Anyone who believes THAT should contact me re a bridge I’m offering at a very reasonable price.
We’ve barely managed to rid ourselves of Trump’s & the GOP Leadershit’s immediate threat of machtpolitik, i.e., their use of power & physical force (06 January 2021 insurrectionists’ invasion of the Capitol) to attain their objectives—by the skin of our teeth.
Now it’s time we each understand that we must confront the perils of realpolitik, i.e., politics based on practical & material factors, on political realities, & on the realities of national interest. To reverse the severe injuries done our nation, our republic, our democracy by & during the Trump Error, we need intelligent, educated, experienced, patriotic people of integrity, not corrupt & corrupting political & economic ideas trickling down from the wealthy & the corpocracy.
Biden is constrained by (1) a massive white supremacist opposition who have fallen hook, line, & sinker for all sorts of ludicrous conspiracy theories; (2) the lock-step mentality of GOP Leadershit legislators, state & federal, opposing any & every effort to lessen the financial & health burdens imposed on Us, the 99%ers, during the four-year Trump Error; (3) the 361-&-counting Voter Suppression bills slithering their way through our state legislatures nationwide to smother democracy; & (4) the ignorance & mistrust sown by Trump & the GOP Leadershit during the Covid-19 pandemic, deliberately mismanaged to such a degree that more than 500,000 of Us, the 99%ers, died & continue to die.
At some point, only time, patience, & trust can cure the pervasive right-wing ignorance.
As it is for someone sitting next to the Brass section in a cacophonous orchestra, the constant blaring live Trump noise is gone, but annoying tinnitus remains. And otherwise tone deaf fans of his concert rallies hum the obnoxious themes like screeching chalk on a blackboard.
Trump is gone, however, there are still the 74 million geniuses who voted for him and the vast majority of Congress, who strongly support him, so I really don’t know what you want, Theodore; seems Sleepy Joe is holding his own.
“Rall gives the impression that, with Trump rightly ousted, the ship of state should be immediately righted.” Correction: there should be some initial movement toward righting the ship of state. There is not.
Since nothing worthwhile happened with the Trump presidency, and the Biden admin won’t do anything, clearly what we need is a Mussolini or Ceausescu-grade president next time to really get stuff done! The nice thing is that the GOP is presciently working on just that problem with all their energy as we speak.
Rall doesn’t read the news. Rall doesn’t read legislation. He’s just waiting for someone (something) to tell him all his wishes have been 100% listened to and fulfilled.
I won’t bother with links since, if it isn’t from Jacobin, Rall won’t bother to check.
“The Biden administration ramps up their effort to address hunger in America, relieving a burden on millions of Americans” : The Times reported that the administration has so far authorized the largest children’s summer feeding program in history, giving over $1 billion a month in increased food stamps and needy kids $1 a day for snacks. It also expanded a produce allowance for pregnant women and children. “We haven’t seen an expansion of food assistance of this magnitude since the founding of the modern food stamp program in 1977,” James P. Ziliak, an economist at the University of Kentucky who studies nutrition programs, told the Times. “It’s a profound change.”
“Covid-19 Stimulus Bill Contains Biggest Change to Obamacare Since 2010” : The subsidy changes would be temporary and expire after two years, but would mean much lower payments for almost 14 million people now insured on the individual market. The package also includes funding aimed at enticing states that didn’t expand their Medicaid programs earlier to do so now, and subsidies to cover the cost of health insurance for people who lose their jobs.
I could go on, but it would start to feel like a chore. Rall is as set in his sense of the world as any RWNJ or Q crazy.

A grotesquely unequal plutocracy before Trump, a grotesquely unequal plutocracy after Trump. And let’s not even get into foreign policy.
