On the second of March 2021, Newsom published a program for getting kids back to school. Teachers and schools are currently on Spring break, so no US kids are in school anyway. Teachers from California’s San Diego Unified School District can volunteer to provide in-person education to migrant children. Not compelled to. Nobody is being forced. The right, with it’s constant clamor for Jesus, seems pretty adept at not understanding charity. By the way, 3,500 new Covid-19 cases per day in California. If a teacher has symptoms they will be sent home when school resumes. At this rate, how long before schools have a shortage of teachers to open schools any way?
It is well known, well documented, not even slightly in doubt — that kids under the age of about 10 to 12 learn another language nearly as easily as they learn their first… and do not become confused (as I do, having learned much later) when attempting to use the appropriate one. Better yet, such kids show significantly better scores on tests of their ability to work with others, and there are some results showing a moderate increase in IQ versus monolingual kids. I’m sure Mike “Loser” Lester knows all this, because he’s a well informed guy (just ask him).
So what OTHER reason could he have for posting this? He’s egging on the people fear, detest, loathe, ABOMINATE folks w/ brown skins, parTICularly if they are here to work.

Yeah keep blaming the teacher’s union. In our school district less than half of the kids are returning. That isn’t the union’s fault.
