How about we quit living in the past and start being realistic about who and what we are today. Nothing can be done to change slavery in the 1800s or WW2. Our generation had nothing to do with any of this. We can do everything possible to ensure that the life we live today can be as good and fruitful, free from prejudice and hatred toward each other. Anything else will never work.

The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 is often seen as the first major law to restrict immigration in the United States. But there is an earlier law that was used to effectively prevent Chinese women from immigrating to the United States: The Page Act of 1875. https://www.history.com/news/chinese-immigration-page-act-women

At one point in time, only Chinese MEN were allowed to enter the United States.

Their Work (Cheap Labor) was needed but the Powers That Be made it a Crime for a Chinese woman to enter the country because they did not want those Chinese workers starting Families in the USA.

Racism is just part of white folks cultural heritage, like confederate flags.
