He certainly will attract birds of the non-canary nature, plus a nice crop of millet.

So, he’s planting food.

Let’s all chip in and buy him a birdie. ….and a kitty proof cage. I don’t trust the other nine!

Oliver, it doesn’t work that way. But you will get lots of bird visitors.

The kitten Oliver is so innocent. I love him.

Obviously, nobody ever talked to little Oliver about the birds and the bees.

Today is:

National Weed Appreciation Day. Sorry, I don’t appreciate weeds when they come up in my garden. I do like dandelions, but I don’t consider them to be weeds.

My very late cat Sneakers, gone over 30 years ago, was loving to all animals, including birds, I am sure he was a distant cousin to Queen’s Moose.

Meanwhile, O’Greedy plants birdseeds stuck in beef lard squares to start a leather plant.

Holi is the Hindu Festival where everyone goes out and throws colored chalk at each other. It celebrates Spring and renewed life.

Oh, sweet, loveable Oliver, if only it actually worked that way. Then you’d have a whole flock on canaries! On another note, saw three robins and twelve juncos while out walking today. I also saw a towhee and three varied thrushes in my front yard and a sparrow on my deck. (No canaries, though.)
