I’m not sure but they look an awful lot like the “prickers” we have in the midwest. Made the mistake of walking on some in my crocs as a kid. They poked right through and I had to pull them all out.
On the family farm we were the ones terrorizing the geese. Our second cousins showed us how to distract them and steal eggs. We were going to hatch them in an old sock stiffed with hay, but I had to go home before we knew if it worked or not.
It finally arrived! My slightly used copy of Mighty Alice goes round and round. Its my first collected Cul de Sac and I’m excited to see what’s in it :]
That’s a very bold statement and not entirely true, about a dozen or so states have laws about tethering dog or leaving them unattended in cars. On top of that many don’t outlaw it completely but put restrictions on to ensure pet safety. In fact my state has no laws against either, but people use common sense and safety anyway when practicing these behaviors. As for today’s strip Buckles may be exaggerating his struggles to prove the point of life out of reach. Which is a more thought provoking strip then funny which not all comics have to be. Also since he thinks that fire hydrant is his girlfriend he could spend hours just sitting next to her.
Reminds me of a Canadian comic I read from the 90’s. An activist with similar thinking had spray tagged a polar bear ;]
