Showing your inner kitten, eh, Garfield? (What’s going to happen between him and Arlene in the title panel? Him taking a pair of scissors and cut Arlene’s side of the spaghetto short followed by eat the rest of the plate?)
I had a rather large red cat (who looked like Garfield without the black stripes) who used to sleep rolled up in an A4 printpaper box. Why do cats do that?
This isn’t the first time that Garfield had fun in a box. There was the “Garfield and Friends” episode “Box o’ Fun”, where Garfield was playing in a box that Jon brought home, imagining himself into different situations, such as a race car driver, an airplane pilot, and being stranded at sea.
We got a new desk chair yesterday. The cat was sitting on the couch and then disappeared. Wasn’t sure where she went until we went to move the big box. Found her!
Yep. As a kitten, my cat would jump into and upright paper sack. Remember them? He also would hide inside them if laid on their side on the floor. When he grew up, he settled for my lap.

There’s a quantum mechanics joke here somewhere…I’m uncertain about its location.

For cats (and Nike Tyson, too) each day is Boxing Day. But be aware of Schrödinger’s outside the box-thought theory!

That’s a pretty short playtime, Garfield.
Is it nap time already ?

You’re too old for that Garfield

That’s one thing about cats, they’re short on imagination and sleep is more important than exercise.

Todays comic leaves a question open ended. Is the cat really in the box, or is the cat thinking ‘outside of the box’ of wanting to be inside the box?

a very good thing, too :o)

Cats love time travelling and transmogrifying themselves into themselves.

The easiest way to trap a cat: put out a cardboard box.

I have some acquaintances who built a whole cat-condo out of boxes. Their little kitty loved it.

Try it. You’ll like it, too. A proper size box can perfectly balance your agoraphobia against your claustrophobia. Cats know things.

Aw! How cute is this?! Garfield makes the most of using a cardboard box by simply sleeping in it. #precious #catingenuity :)

No joke, most cats do love boxes. I keep three or four around the house for them to sleep in.
