This is an economic relief and stimulus package, for the most part. The damage COVID did to the economies well beyond medical bills, and to repair it we need to spend on programs that go well beyond vaccinations and PPE. I didn’t hear cartoon conservatives complaining when in the last Trump era bill, Senate Republicans put in stuff Wookieepedia treatment for horse farms and NASCAR tracks, and 20% of the cost went to a double-digit tax break for still-successful businesses.
