The bowl in front of Marm is Marm’s so Phil is filling bowl “for a friend” :D

“Buying” being the operative word here.

Wait, wasn’t the dog food brand always “Barfo” and not “Barfoo”?

His friends name in Marmaduke Too…

Marm is just trying to save Phil time and effort. He can fill both bowls at the same time, rather than having to come back and refill just one bowl.
