How the future disappoints. I assumed I’d have a house cleaning robot when I grew up. My mom, born in 1922, assumed she’d have furniture that could be hung on hooks attached to the wall so she could clean the floors with spray from a hose. Disappointed big time.
I always think about my Grandmother: In her lifetime, where she grew up on a farm without electricity, she saw the Wright brothers and the coming of rural electrification to men walking on the moon and Supersonic transport.
