Bear in mind that GameStop really does have an intrinsic value. Eventually, that hard fact will cause the price to drop toward reality, at which point the folks holding expensive stock will lose (that part of) their shirts.
Now if Reddit could just do it without making death threats against children. Nobody likes short sellers, but that doesn’t mean you get to dox and threaten to kill their kids
short selling should probably be illegal. as I understand it they are supposed to borrow the stock but “naked” shorts are common.. . .and the policing on this is lax . . .just make it illegal entirely
