Only works in the Northern Hemisphere. (But I’m sure all the GoComics readers below the Equator could figure that out.)

To quote Mike Holmes—“Never put plumbing on exterior walls. But if you do, make sure those walls are well insulated, with a vapor barrier on the warm side”. He works mostly in Canada where that is a serious issue … I’m so glad I live in sunny SoCal where every side is the warm side!

Our pipes are in the crawl space. I have a hose tap on either end of the house. When the temperature hits the teens, on they come. I wind up with a nice stalagmite of ice.

I leave the cabinet doors open.

The best fix for rattlesnakes on your porch is to move north.

Florida would be my choice.

I would think you just wouldn’t leave the bagpipes outside overnight in freezing weather.

Or wait a few years/decades. The North is getting warmer all the time.

Not this week! Family in Texas is posting photos of ice on peach blossoms that didn’t get the memo!

I can’t imagine why anybody would want to live in a place that doesn’t have 4 seasons. Or in a place that is designed solely around the automobile (as is the case for most Sunbelt “cities”).
