Yes, why the delay? It’s nice to see Lincoln finally enjoying himself after four years of listening to claptraps in the White House. Just three days ago the cartoonist had Texans freezing and not liking socialism (but they will accept any help they can get now) and yesterday he had the Trump casino exploding, so Drew does seem to get things off on a timely basis. Maybe this was a rehash from 1/21/21 and he had something better on that day and this was a fill in due to not meeting a deadline.
His other recent cartoons have been timely enough, so perhaps there was a glitch; this didn’t run when it was supposed to, so it’s running now.
Of course, the majority of editorial cartoons are outdated pretty much as soon as they appear, yet we still find value in reviewing old ones. By March 19, this will hardly seem more outdated than if it had run January 19 rather than February 19.
This video is downright INSPIRING. It is by a Conservative who strongly supports the Constitution. He is a power figure in Arkansas and as such, as well as from being a war hero, he also has national standing. His statement takes nine minutes but is very worth hearing since he gets to the most essential points and he describes a way forward which can certainly happen elsewhere, including here.

Hey, depending on the issue I vary (liberal for social issues that increase fair opportunities like civil rights, strong education, retraining for jobs, equal work advancement; old style conservative pre-debt-approach for most fiscal issues except that I strong think that infrastructure repair and replacement programs as a modern New Deal approach could help the nation greatly now and should be done; moderate in most else). Oh, and i am an independent who votes according to things like past voting records of candidates. I do not line vote and consider it lazy.

I hear it took Capitol maintenance workers a month to get rid of the stank after the former guy had his Faux Nooz tête-à-tête at the Lincoln Memorial.

Even the republican symbol is celebrating vicious lying racist dictator Trump’s defeat.

I have to assume there was an error in posting this cartoon. Those before it have been current.

Ahh, better late than never, Drew, and this is pretty darn good ♥

or, maybe he’s celebrating “president’s day”? albeit, maybe his birthday, but it’s a week late for that (2/12)

Looking again, the January 20, 2022 cartoon will revisit Lincoln after angry mobs have torn down his last statue.
