My first dog loved snow. She would often stop and look up at a snow-covered bush. That was my cue to brush the snow off the bush into her face. I don’t know why she liked that, but she sure did.
My first Rottie loved the snow. When we had 36" the week before Christmas she would have gone out and tunneled around the yard all day. My current Rottie (first winter we have had him), wouldn’t even stick his nose in it. It took him about a week before he would really play in it and by then it was almost all gone. Both were adult rescues.

Our Schnauzer couldn’t make out what the white stuff was until she smelled it. Ever winter she’d come back into the house with a white nose.

Nothing funnier than seeing a dog bite into a snowball. Confusion plus pure joy!

I knew a dog with bad eyesight, who would always chase after the shadow of the snow.
