I suspect that Trump used golf as his escape from all his troubles. It gave him something else to focus his attention on than destroying his latest enemy. Biden might have some similar outlet though I doubt he’ll command AF1 or a chopper to hop to his beloved Delaware for a good walk or bike ride. He might have to confine himself to walking the many corridors of the WH and greeting the staff.

It’s happening again: For the second time this year, the United States has fallen behind nearly every other country in combating the virus.

The U.S. was not alone in suffering a resurgence this fall. Much of the world did. But many other countries responded to that surge with targeted new restrictions and, in a few cases, with an increase in rapid-result testing.

Those measures seem to be working. Worldwide, the number of new cases has fallen over the past week.

In some countries, the declines are large: more than 50 percent over the past month in Belgium, France, Italy, Kenya and Saudi Arabia; more than 40 percent in Argentina and Morocco; more than 30 percent in India and Norway.

And in the U.S.? The number of new cases has risen 51 percent over the past month.

The causes are not a mystery. The U.S. still lacks a coherent testing strategy, and large parts of the country continue to defy basic health advice. One example is Mitchell, a small South Dakota city, where deaths have spiked recently — including the loss of a beloved high school coach. Yet anti-mask protesters continue to undermine the local response.

When you have a leader who will never, ever say “l was wrong”, “l don’t know”, “l made a mistake”, or “l am sorry”, the country is totally f*****d!

Cher has said she has never hated anyone in her life as much as she hates Donald Trump, admitting she will be “dancing around” if he were to be prosecuted and imprisoned after leaving the White House.

The singer launched a fresh attack on the US president over his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in a new interview with the Guardian, having been a vocal critic of Trump throughout his presidency .

“In my country the president doesn’t believe it has anything to do with him,” Cher said. “He doesn’t think he has any responsibility to help us.”

Accusing Trump of creating a “toxic” culture war in America, she continued: “People who just disagreed with each other before are now enemies. I hate to even call him a president because all he does is watch TV.

    “I hate him,” she said.

Asked if she’d ever hated anybody like this before, Cher replied: “No, in my whole life, never.

“I pretty much disliked Bush when he started those wars, and I could say for a minute it was touch and go for hate. But the one thing I know is he loves America and Trump doesn’t.”

She continued: “I said if Trump can’t be in the White House, he’s going to burn it down. He’s trying to block Joe [Biden] at every moment. He’s the most vindictive person I’ve ever witnessed.”

Referring to a number of major lawsuits and criminal investigations Trump could face once his protected status as most powerful man in the world expires in January, Cher said: “I think he’s fighting so hard because he’s going to be prosecuted when he gets out of the White House.”

Asked if he could he end up in prison, she added: “Oh, I hope so. I’ll be dancing around.”

Another 50,000 will die before we can get someone in the WH who will do something.

When there is “no accountability”, how do we get past the finger pointing, “not my fault”, non-responsiblity stance from the politicians who actually have the resources and man/woman-power to wage an effective effort to deal with this pandemic? If not them, then who? Even global herd immunity is not going to solve all of the “over-kill” that follows worldwide disasters. A chief administrator who will not take responsibility for guiding a country through the problems that are going to result from this pandemic should be replaced. We have only taken the easiest first step…

Trump’s entire life has been predicated on not taking any responsibility.

I think that one reason Trump plays golf is that, when he plays alone he can say that he won.

I recall eight years of repubs complaining about President Obama playing golf! Oh, but the past four years were DIFFERENT!

Merry Christmas to the hundreds of invited guests to the Pompeo Christmas Party and DIDN’T ATTEND. To the 78 who did, please note Pompeo now in quarantine for being near someone who tested positive. Thoughts and prayers as usual . . . .
