Fun fact for those second amendment folk who keep crying .
“The left are coming for our guns!
The last two meaningful changes to come for gun owners was first a few years ago after the Las Vegas shooting Trump signed an executive order banning bump stocks.
Then lets go back to the 90s and the assault weapons ban by Clinton the bill was dead in the water with little to no GOP support then in comes Ronald Reagan to convince the members of his party to support the bills.
An example of the consequences of gun control is demonstrated in Australia today. They turned in their guns in the 90’s as a government’s reaction to keeping the population safe because of a crime wave. Today they’re setting up camps similar to the concentration camps of Nazi Germany to reeducate the people. The United States has a 2nd amendment to keep the government in check, but in this climate the constitution is being disregarded like onions on a hamburger.
I’m cool with gun control if it is only for concealable – which are used in the vast majority of crimes. Pretty sure when the 2nd amendment was written, people didn’t have many hand guns and they certainly weren’t the weapon of choice in a war with England.
Reminds me of the episode of All in the Family, where Val Bisoglio robs Archie Bunker (Carroll O’Connor) at gunpoint, immediately after Archie’s TV editorial against gun control has aired.
his approach is a deterrent for signing the petition. i own one for protection which most have one for; others have chosen to take advantage of the right by taking an innocent life for no reason other than to see what it feels like to kill / or a way to get revenge against someone that has wronged them physically or mentally. they do not think their actions will have a lasting affect on all involved.

Actually, career criminals are strongly in favor of gun control. It would make honest citizens less dangerous victims.
