Don’t forget Sedition – it’s stalking the land. Feb 20, 2019Sedition – FindLawcriminal.findlaw.com › criminal-charges › sedition: Is Sedition a crime in us? Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in \prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.
The GOP and whack jobs like Bush Limburger are acting like a 7 year on a sandlot who loses the game and threatens to quit, take his ball and go home. The problem is they don’t have a ball to take home. They’re not going anywhere. How would they replace all the money they suck out of the blue states?
Trump and his political party (which still insists on being called “republican” though, of course it isn’t, any more) have failed in their coup attempt, but it has succeeded in essentially trashing American democracy!
Remember that the republican party was born from the death throes of the old Whig party. At the same time the republican party was calved from the Whigs the “know nothing” party was also born, but it died out after a few years.
Now the republican party is dying and is being replaced by the “Trump” party – and we have no clear idea what it will be called – but we do know what it stands for – it’s rabidly antidemocratic (small ‘d’)! We’ll just have to see if it remains fully authoritarian after the death of Donnie John.
Remember that even Lincoln abandoned the republican party when he ran for president in 1864, because it had become too radical.
