Many, many thanks, Brian; for decades I have feared that the lesson of the 1944 election might have been forgotten. That was the only election on which I ever lost a bet (parental influence—-they could not stand the thought of “That Little Man” keeping an office that “he didn’t earn”).
Compulsive truthfulness requires me to admit that I have never since bet on any election. “Once burned . . .”
Hmmm, let’s see, Democratic gains in the House, Senate too early to call as of yet, possibly 2 Dem wins in Georgia, AZ just called for Mark Kelly and the trending math show Biden EXPANDING his LEADS in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada and Georgia. The votes coming in have trended between 65–35 and 75-25 and that trend is solid in all those states. Bucks County,PA just released another 4,000 votes with Biden getting about 2,800, increasing his statewide leads. In Philadelphia the absentee/mail in are breaking in about 9 – 1 in favour of Biden. Overall trend in PA is 75 – 25 and it is staying steady. Clark County, NV (Las Vegas) just released results for about 30,000 votes and they fell 19,000 for Biden, doubling his lead statewide.
It does appear that the rats are starting to abandon The Big Mistake. And I’ve found at least one site that’s calling it for Biden, having given him PA and Arizona. Not that I’m saying they have it right, yet: I’m w/ Truman on this one.

Even Republican Secretaries of State have been adamant that all ballots are being counted as quickly as possible.

And Biden is now leading in Georgia as well as Nevada. EITHER ONE will give him the 270 for the win.

One of the very worst things Trump has done is question the integrity of election. This will haunt us for years to come as his diehards will claim.

Every fringe needs their own refuge; why don’t we dilute them? Dump the two party model.

Carter got his first election win when he observed the local political boss throwing votes for him into the trash.
