so adjusting the size to fit your head is only secondary (that is if it’s an adjustable cap)?

Technically, it’s more of attitudinal rolling of the bill for effect….

I bend the bill of every new cap I get, too. It makes the cap fit my forehead better.

Is the way you bend your bill a “secret” sign? Sorta like what pocket you wear your bandanna hanging out of your back pants?

I bearly wear a cap.

The technical term is “Gimme Cap”

Proper eye shading is a plus !

My hats, the brim goes all the way around. Keeps the sun out of my eyes and the rain off my neck.

Yeah, for a Plugger’s ball cap, it has to have that ‘redneck’ look. The plastic used in bills nowadays makes it tougher than the old cardboard. I use a heatgun to help reshape it.

Amen! Those that wear a flat billed hat look like the dorks they are.

I used to think of that shape as the “Farmer’s Roll,” from them sticking the cap in their back pocket. Then I started to see baseball players using it. I roll mine like a big ol’ soft taco.

I’ve been wearing hats for a long time, and gone through many bill styles, and materials. I don’t like them really flat, or severely curled. At one time I sticking it in my back pocket, then they changed to stiff bills, and I couldn’t do that anymore. I’ve tried washing some, and they didn’t survive, while others came out fine. Seen a lot of changes, not always for the better.

Big rubber band around the bill, throw it in the washer and then the dryer gives it a good rolling bend.

The Pluggers of 20yrs ago laughed at people that bent the bill on their hats. Now the Brim Benders are Pluggers too.

Once in a blue moon the bill will have a great bend when you buy it, if so buy two of the same hat and save one for special occasions when the other gets dirty.

Tennis ball and a rubber band give it a really nice shape.
