Probably.

We have a large beautiful Black Widow spider that has taken up residence in a potted cactus by our front door. She will keep bad spiders and scorpions away. Its a good thing!

Spending money on toys for a cat..dont. a scrunched up ball of paper works.

We bought fresh catnip mice at the Cat Show. What a waste of $4,75 each. Max just drooled all over his until it was a soggy mess and Toshie gave hers a sniff and walked away.

Thanks everyone for suggestions on what made my TV go haywire on Tuesday. I’m not sure the remote is the culprit though because I also tried another remote – a universal remote which is programmed to that TV and it didn’t work either. But I just discovered tonight that there are some teeny tiny buttons on the back side of the TV (sort of on the side, but hidden towards the back) which I never saw before. I’m going to try those buttons and I will still try replacing the batteries in the remote too. Funny though how suddenly this problem came about – one minute it was fine and the next minute it was haywire. Weird!

My cats like the toys that make the crinkly sound. Have a bunch & they do play with them. Years ago I got a scratcher that was round with a ball in the track around it. They love that.

Following up my post yesterday about my sister’s two cats. They went to my brother who is a Catholic Priest in West Virginia. Within months he realized that he wasn’t a cat person and he found good homes for them among his parishioners. You talk about having a lot of Facebook friends! Father Paul must have thousands. Every 6 years they make the priests move to a new parish in WV. So he’s been all over the state making friends.

Does everyone but me spell “pajamas” like that?….. or is it the smart ones?… or maybe the Canadians? Crossword puzzlers everywhere “Beware”!

Have you tried “The Paper Bag with Corner Cut-out”, “The Ball Made from Bread Ties” or “The Toe Under the Blanket”?

Maybe my TV was playing an early Halloween prank on Tuesday? I just plugged it back in and hooked it up and I didn’t even touch the remote but the TV came on and it is working fine. Just to be safe, I replaced the batteries in the remote anyway. I don’t want to risk having the TV go haywire again on Saturday when the Decades channel starts their Jack Benny marathon (70 episodes in a row). My favorite episodes involve Jack at home, visiting his vault or out Christmas shopping and the one where it was 4:00 in the morning and Jack couldn’t sleep. I like those episodes much more than the stage shows where he has singers and they do sketches. I love Rochester too.

It’s the cat’s pajamas…

I just tripped on the rug on the front porch, fell into the wood pile and punched 2 holes in my arm. I hate rugs…but they are necessary for my brain and spine damaged Brittany who falls so easily without good traction. I usually take great care walking everywhere around here because of the rugs, but I guess I was just tired and not paying attention. I washed the wounds, applied triple antibiotic and 2 Band-Aids and pronounced myself ok.

I bet she would rather have a big bowl of tuna. On another note, saw two rabbits and a junco while out walking today.
