The probability of a survivable water landing is so low that I wonder why they bother with flotation devices. This is especially true if you are flying over Oklahoma.

The airport is the best place to land

Last night the Smithsonian Channel showed another episode of their series “Air Disasters”. An excellent show, but it was disheartening to realize it was Season 15, Episode 9.

(The next time I get on a plane I’ll be the one shouting “Set the flaps! Set the flaps!”)

It used to be to carry a bomb on a plane because what are the odds that there would be two.

If you’re seated behind her, make a mad dash to get past her; or you’ll be deplaning for the next 45 minutes.

I have some bad news for her. That inflated life raft will not fit through the planes exits.

By the way, there’s not much need for that stuff when flying to Topeka.
