A bluejay mercilessly attacked one of my cats for weeks. Then, I heard a lot of other bluejays squawking in the backyard. They were having a “bluejay funeral” for that one because my cat caught it.
We once had a cat named Rorschach who caught a blue jay fledgling. The blue jay family never forgave or forgot him! He was a British tabby, with a very distinct bullseye pattern on his sides and a symmetrical ink blot pattern on his head and back. For all the years we lived there, they would dive bomb him every time he went out in the yard! Not the other cats, just him!

The Mittens is not wrong, those blue jays are nasty to cats bombing and harassing them. Keep your eyes on them Mitty.
