Why does this need to be a photo? do the bare minimum and trace the football and color it yourself and then delete the photo layer. the photorealism adds nothing, and is something thousands of people do for free when they make memes for twitter/facebook. You are a professional cartoonist. The scribbling on top doesn’t fool anyone.

political football is the most basic take on a supreme court hearing. It’s like saying “gee democrats and republicans sure don’t get along huh?” Something so generic that everyone already understands, so unless you have a really clever way of showing that, it’s pointless.
Literally showing a football isn’t clever. it’s also something you’ve already done before:
It’s just a game to Republicans. That’s why they don’t care about anything but winning. There’s no way they’d let anything like moral, ethical or social issues get in the way like the loser Democrats do!
Except that in that version of the game, the rules and penalties are up to the players themselves, and those who attempt to play “fair” (I’m not naming any names) get penalized.
