vote for trump or else socialism wins even if the orange troll works for Russia and acts like a communist dictator (and USA may become like Canada or most of Europe if it was socialism and we don’t want that), because if we say socialism all the stupid hicks just run like headless chickens panicking over a word they don’t even know what it means, and if we say somebody is a witch we just run and burn that person because they told us to. Oh, right, that was not sarcasm, that’s what we do. Maybe we need more stupid hicks because if people think and don’t just do because we say so then we don’t have a chance

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called Turner a “great Canadian” and said Turner tirelessly fought to protect the environment and to advance a more just Canada.

He recalled how Turner said that democracy doesn’t happen by accident.

“He knew we could rise to any challenge, and meet any moment — if we believed in one another and stood together,” he said.

That belief is tested today, with nearly half standing apart on each side, like sides and power are all it’s about, to the exclusion of reason. The world doesn’t need us to keep on spinning, but we sure need the world.

We’ve had socialism for corporations for decades — where they were able to push their obligations for pensions and other social benefits off on the government. My wife and I get our pensions from the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation because the owners of the insurance conglomerate we worked for were able to strip all the assets and leave the debts to the government. And we’ve had socialism for the rich where they have been able to enjoy all the benefits, but avoid their share of the costs of providing their benefits. Except it wasn’t called socialism. It was called tax cuts and trickle down benefits, except the benefits never seemed to arrive at the people who needed them. It is only called “socialism” when ordinary people might benefit from a safety net benefit like health care or food stamps.

Looks like Covid-19 killed the Party that put their President above Democracy, The Constitution, affordable health care, common sense, honesty, science and We The People. Is Moscow Mitch teaching the goosestep to the Senate Republicans before the confirmation hearing and voting ?

My friend told me on the phone a few days ago that Trump still has severe Covid symptoms. And that the worst covid symptoms tend to show up ten to fourteen days after incubation. So, there is a chance that Trump’s health could take a turn for the worse in a week or so. But, cold hearted as that sounds, if that happens it’s his own damn fault! I am convinced he’s continuing to spin his “Covid’s no big deal” spiel (not to mention blue cities like NYC or Portland, OR are “on fire” spiel) for his base because deep down he knows that’s all he has left. As the Joker said in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker: “It would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. What the heck, I’ll laugh anyway!”
