OMG this reminds me of my two when they were kittens. I knew there was a reason I kept saying I would never have a kitten again……That said, my now years older cat just took a potty break on my carpet in front of my eyes because I’d forgotten to clean the kitty boxes (yes 1 for each of them) last night. One needed to be cleaned the other was spotless. The litter boxes sit side by side. You can’t tell me that wasn’t intentional. Demon cats that I love and will forever forgive there trespasses….
Cats NEED to have something they are allowed to scratch on. Put a cheap cardboard scratching panel in every room. “No” for the carpet and furniture; praise for scratching on the cardboard. Of course, if you have cheap cardboard furniture, you’re on your own.
