In very generalized term, Republicans assume we (the People) are adults, and capable of taking care of ourselves, whereas The Democrats assume we are children, and need to be taken care of. I have been taking care of myself for the better part of 40 years. I think I got this, thank you.

Republican’ts these days act like a child in a grocery store with their want, want, want attitude and their temper tantrums and out bursts when they don’t get their way. How adult of them.
I remember when Republicans such as Reagan & the 1st Bush understood that sometimes you need to raise taxes to fight deficits. I like when Republicans like Eisenhower spoke out against the threat of the military industrial complex, or when Teddy Roosevelt stood against monopolies & for wild lands. Mostly I miss Republicans like Frederick Douglas who knew the biggest threat is still unrepentant Confederates. There are no more Republicans in the seats of power, only Trumpistas. He’s not as big a problem as they are because he’s only a man & they’re institutional.
