That is why Sol is a girl’s name in Scandinavian, but also in Spanish and Portuguese. Also, Sol is a given name, usually a form of “Solomon”.

As a fellow Minnesotan, I remember folks who did not have a basement, and still hung laundry out on the line in the Winter and it literally freeze-dried. A few sunny days in a row would do the trick. Luckily, we did have a basement, so one of my tasks was to hang laundry there. It gave us kids the opportunity to play “hide and seek” between the rows of laundry. Ahhhhh – those sweet memories…..
I often list “hey you” as one of my preferred pronouns.
My horse has flies. Which reminds me:A flea and a fly in a flue Were imprisoned, so what could they do? Said the fly, “Let us flee!” “Let us fly!” said the fleaSo they flew through a flaw in the flue.

I once got fired from a family owned small business, by the oldest son who wanted to prove to his parents that he knew how to manage. OK, it was late spring, summer beckoned, so I just lit out for the woods. In the fall I got a call to come back again – from Mom. Now SHE really knew how to manage. I eventually left of my own volition and they threw a party for me and gave me the lovely velour pullover that was in the store window up front.
