As you try to get out of the car… you realize your previously burnt flesh has to be pealed up from merging with the vinyl. A layer of skin stays with the plastic. Any blisters are now open… maybe bleeding. And there is always one small patch… in a difficult to reach spot… that continues to cling.

Yes… the Joys of Summer Time Memories!

I could never understand the appeal of leather or vinyl seats. Not only are they hot and sticky or cold and clammy, but in pre-seat belt days they made it difficult to stay where you wanted to be. Slide sideways, slam forward, and scooch back. No thanks.

back in the dark ages (my youth) this was an incredible problem due to Fingerhut seat covers (and one didn’t just get burned, one got stuck to them)

And then … there’s the steering wheel … but easier to deal with …!

My Mother put beach towels on the car seats and on the steering wheel. Stayed over 100 degrees through Sept. in Sacramento, CA.
