My Dad was in the atomic bomb squadron. He worked on the Enola Gay after it came back from Hiroshima. He died of pancreatic cancer, which was a known consequence for Atomic Veterans. My wife’s father shot down Admiral Nimitz at Pearl Harbor because Nimitz’s pilot didn’t know the correct password for the day.

3 1/2 years on the USS Nevada without home leave. My dad didn’t think he deserved a military funeral.
He got one. Miss that man
