    That’s more sad than comic.

The times, they are a-changin’. And not for the better. First day of school for the very young used to be traumatic enough without the threat of coming home with CV-19.

Why doesn’t the school board put up a “This is a no Covid-19 zone” sign?

With most things lin life, I have an opinion of how others are doing it wrong and how I would do it right.

On this issue, I don’t have a clue. I’d need the advice from educators, school boards, health officials, students, HVAC experts, logistics analysts, janitorial services, transportation managers, IT experts of all iks, food services and maybe even the Army Corps of Engineers.

Teachers are already in short supply. They will be the real limiting factor to how long a school can hold in-person classes.

I don’t suppose Betsy DeVos could help to create Covid19-Free school zones. (Kinda like the drug-free zones).

It isn’t hard to imagine, but until you’re waving goodbye to your own kid you won’t feel the fear as deeply.

We have almost 2500 kids and around 250+ adults at the high school where I work. There is absolutely no way, even if 20% of the kids decide to do online learning, to keep them socially distant from each other. Masks will be required for everyone EXCEPT during P.E., athletics, band, and maybe choir. Masks are not required when eating and there will be three lunch times during the day.

Do the math. Then watch for the spike in Texas.
