How shocked we all pretend to be when true-life instances of child prostitution surface. Young girls are, and have always been, sexually objectified by a significant minority of people – boys too. By now, everybody should know what the thousands of ‘missing kids’ phenomena is all about. Prostitution, rape, and murder.
Since the pimps Epstein & Maxwell have attracted so much attention with their ‘A’ list of Johns, maybe this would be a good time for all of us to admit to ourselves that this kind of despicable abuse is still with us – very real and all too common. Not sophisticated ‘rings’ necessarily, but apparently hundreds of low-life pimp entrepreneurs exploiting children. It’s not a sign of the times – it’s always been with us. Out of sight, out of mind is no way to think of kids. At some point in their young lives all kids are at risk from sexual predators. Simple awareness can help save some of them.
There is a certain irony here when one remembers the supposed child sex ring in the non-existent basement of the Comet Pizza joint…now who was it pushing that kind of conspiracy theory? I guess it takes one to know one.
Queen Victoria’s son Albert Edward, later to become Edward VII, was known for frequent patronage of brothels. (He even had a special “love chair” to assist, as his increased girth required.) He was nicknamed “Dirty Bertie.”
His great-great grandson, the present Prince Andrew, was known from a young age as “Randy Andy,” the party prince. Remember his well-publicized vigorous romantic life from years ago?
Any takers on how long before Maxwell commits “suicide” in jail with one alleged john a former US President and another a current one. She might want to consider cutting a quick deal for her ‘A’ list before any accidental hanging occurs.
