great answer Carl. just sad that we don’t have many leaders with guts and integrity to enforce the laws equally but instead pick and choose which laws to enforce/break based on their selfish and ignorant desires which include political/monetary gain and fear of mobs. we even have a process system that can change bad laws, however, that system is often ignored and even broken for the same reasons. the education of our children and youth concerning those laws and processes have been ignored by the educators (purposely, IMHO) for a couple of decades so that what is happening in our world now could happen. “ignorance is bliss” is the old saying, but “ignorance creates chaos” is also very true. what one doesn’t know can not only hurt them but others as well. The ones who would be offended is their home owners’ insurance. Many companies will nor insure a house with a trampoline those that do require a safety netting around it. Liability is much higher than a swimming pool. Medical claims average $1 billion annually.
When Zack starts jr high will he be “easily offended” as a runty,four eyed,home haircut,goodwill clothes wearing ginger.As for 1st Amendment lets abolish FCC and allow true free speech on broadcast radio/tv.
So does the 1A protect us from people who are offended by someone taking a knee during the national anthem, or burning a flag during a protest? Does it protect someone who wants to worship Allah instead of the Christian god from facing the wrath of those who are offended by that? Or does it only work in one direction? Just wondering.
i may be protected by the 1st amendment but unfortunately not from the individual who disagrees with my freedom of speech and kills me for speaking it; that is happening more and more these days.

The first amendment simply means the government can’t restrict your right to Express your opinion
If your opinions are offensive to others, it doesn’t protect them from being offended or you from the consequences of being offensive

They ought to have a law protecting law-abiding citizens from getting harassed in their hometown by misplaced federal agents.
