Inherited by father’s high school trombone. Lennie the way you are ’playing ’ yours sounds better than my feeble attempt to play it. Passed on to a cousin who does play, and plays well.
Thoroughly enjoyed the concert. (Who knew my MacBook could deliver such good sound!) Couple comments… Kudos for setting up all that stuff in someone’s living room! That must have taken some planning. And not just the instruments but the lighting and and computer doo-dads you need to bring it all to life. Second…Lennie, I love the dimension of sound the trombone brings to the music. I go to concerts where there are orchestras or very large bands that have them. I honestly can’t recall a smaller group that included one. But then again, those types of bands would have been at parties or bars where I’m more distracted from who is playing what instrument and more focused on, well, partying. Last night was a treat in so many ways. Thank you and thank all the guys who made it happen.
It was a lot of fun! Thanks for the invitation! Haven’t been to a concert since January (Caleb Johnson does MeatLoaf); and I suspect that the last time I saw a trombone that wasn’t an actual orchestra was when Mom and I saw the Tex Beneke band at the county fair! (or a sax. No, I don’t do brooos)

I tried watching the concert last night, but I’m not a member of NSABook, so I couldn’t log on to his account. Maybe I can download it from someplace.
